TPD were engaged by McKenzie Hill Holdings Pty Ltd and Carloway Investments Pty Ltd to provide Planning, Civil, Design and Project Management services for the 80 lot Diamond Hill Estate development in McKenzie Hill. The site is subject to a Bushfire Management Overlay and is incorporated within the ‘Diamond Gully Structure Plan’ developed by the Mount Alexander Shire Council.
During the planning phase, TPD successfully represented the Clients at VCAT including coordination of the required expert witnesses and reports. As the site is located in a new development area, TPD worked closely with Council, VicRoads and the relevant service authorities to provide appropriate access and servicing to the site and to also cater for the planed future development of the area.
The six (6) stage development involved the design of 1.5km of new internal roads in addition to upgrading (widening) of 280 metres of the existing access road to the site. Stormwater management of the site was provided with a new bio-retention basin which jointly meets best practice stormwater detention and quality objectives.
Design works completed by TPD for the Diamond Hill Estate development included; roads (including road pavement design), sewer (including overall sewer catchment analysis and sizing), stormwater drainage, detention and water quality (WSUD). In addition to liaison with landscape, gas, communications and power sub-consultants.
Civil Construction was managed by TPD which included; scheduling & tendering works, contract administration, construction auditing and obtaining sign-off from Council and other relevant authorities upon the successful completion of works.
