Forrest Street Drainage Design

Project Description

TPD was engaged by the City of Greater Bendigo to undertake a drainage analysis of the existing drainage network in the Forest and Rowan Street precinct to determine where upgrades were required to alleviate flooding issues in the area.

The project involved assessment of the upstream catchment and existing drainage network to determine peak flow during the critical storm. Through analysis of the existing drainage network, problem areas were identified and proposed solutions were design to resolve existing drainage issues.

In summary; the project involved design of an upsized trunk drainage pipe through the area (1050mm diameter), upgrade to the minor drainage system and pits to increase pit capacity, design modifications to existing kerbs (barrier and bluestone) and minor design alterations to footpaths.
