Pedestrian Operated Signals

Project Description

TPD were engaged by the Department of Transport to provide design for Signalised Pedestrian Crossings on Barker Street in Castlemaine, Townsend Street in Kennington, Calder Highway in Kangaroo Flat and the Northern Highway in Heathcote. Designs were developed from Concept, Functional and Detailed Design including assessment of existing public lighting, traffic signal design, civil design and service proving activates. A strong emphasis was placed on meeting Accessibility (DDA) Guidelines while managing site constraints including, existing accesses, services, vegetation, sightlines etc.
